June 12, 2012, 6pm to Dark: End of Year Picnic – Ellis Park in Yellow Springs
Ellis Park, 400 Polecat Rd, Yellow Springs
This year the picnic will be at Ellis Park in Yellow Springs. This is a small park with a fishing pond. two picnic shelters and a paved parking lot. There is a shelter that is handicap accessible adjacent to the parking lot so we will be protected from rain and too much sun. And we are allowed to have grills/burners. Stroll around the pond and enjoy Mother Nature.
PLANNED ACTIVITIES:
1.Tail gate Weft Over Sale
2.Pot luck picnic meal at 7PM
3. Surprise project involving boiling pots and things you are requested to bring.
Other spontaneous activities are encouraged; talk about Convergence or other summer workshops, or what do you plan to weave, spin or dye this summer.
—————————————————————————————————-
1. The parking lot is right next to the shelter and you can bring what you want to sell in your trunk or rear hatch of your car and just open the hatch to sell. Cuts down on the lugging of stuff.
2. Bring a dish to share, your own plate and utensils. We will eat at 7PM to give everyone who works time to arrive.
3. We are bringing things, textile things, for you to make at the picnic. Watch the newsletter for what you can bring , but you can all participate even if you don’t bring things.
Come one, come all.
