    Our first meeting of the year. Bring the stuff you've done over the summer and tell us all about it. Find out what our VP has in store for us over the year and help with our Woolgathering plans.
     

OCTOBER

  • October 9, 2012, 7-9pm at the John Bryan Community Center: Meeting: Ease Your Aches and Pains with Jackie Adair, Certified Exercise Trainer.

NOVEMBER

  • November 13, 2012, 7-9pm at the John Bryan Community Center: Meeting: What's New in Knitting: Deb K. and Arlene Graham from FIBERWORKS will show many of the new "knitting" yarns available that may spark ideas for some exciting handwoven fabrics –still in time for holiday gifts.

 

DECEMBER

  • December 11, 2012, Christmas Party at Ellen Ottoson's. Ellen will be creating a list of what people should bring based on the alphabet in the December Newsletter.

 

JANUARY

  • January 8, 2013, 7-9pm at the John Bryan Community Center: "Why Spin Yarn?" with Abby Franquemont. — Should you try spinning? What benefit does learning to spin bring to a knitter, weaver, crocheter, or even a person who doesn't do other fiber things? Does spinning matter? Does it save money? Why not just buy yarn, or finished textiles? Who can learn to spin? What do you need to learn?

Abby is doing a Spindle Workshop for us.

 

FEBRUARY

  • February 12, 2013, 7-9pm at the John Bryan Community Center: Needlepoint.

 

MARCH

  • March 12, 2013, 7-9pm at the John Bryan Community Center: Handmade portrait dolls.

    Philosophy/history of Navajo Weaving.

Carole is also doing a workshop on the subject.
