Weaving Class Assistance Requested
Ellen Ottoson made the following request in the newsletter and I'm boosting the signal here;

On 7 March, 2013 from 2:30 till 4pm a demonstration is coming up and I could use some help:
Jen Clark teaches Community Enrichment Classes at the Mill Lawns School in Yellow Springs. It has 12 children at this time, K – 3. It is being held every Thursday from 3 to 4pm (for 9 weeks). She arrives about 2:30 pm to set up. Jen has been teaching “Pioneer Skills” and is interested in a weaving
class.
I have the cardboard “looms” and plastic yarn needles that Sandy Bell has given us. I also have sweater weight yarns for the weaving and can buy large wooden beads, bells, and some fabric leaves for decoration.We are asking some parents to be present and help direct the children but I could use some of you to also help with this class. Jen will be in charge of letting us into the school (in one collected group) at the main entrance to do this. Anyone interested in an afternoon of fun?

An Important Message from Carol Baugh
Please take a look at the .PDF of suggestions for programs/workshops for the 2013-2014 year.  Please provide me with your 1st, 2nd, and 3rd choices and return the form to me at our upcoming December Christmas (Holiday) Celebration.

I would appreciate any additional suggestions.  I found some good information by looking at a website that listed various guilds throughout Canada and the United States. (http://www.camillavalleyfarm.com)

Weavers, spinners,knitters gather in the Great Room at the Senior Citizen Center in Yellow Springs and just work on projects together.  Informal, yet a great deal of learning happens.  Everyone is welcome, no carding (to check age, wool carding is permitted) no matter what your age.
